If your filter is making a rattling or unusual noise, or if it doesn’t turn on after you’ve just filled the hot tub, it’s possible there is air trapped in the filter or pipes. Here’s what you can do:
- Loosen the transparent cover on the circulation pump by turning it 1 or 2 times (do not fully remove it!).
- Wait until water begins to flow out, then tighten the cover again. This should remove the trapped air, allowing the pump to function properly.
If the pump still doesn’t work, try performing a backwash as an additional step.
