The following steps will guide you through the installation of an electric heater in your DIY sauna.
Drilling a Hole for the Cable Connection:
- Drill the Hole:
- Use an 18mm drill bit to drill a hole for the heater cable. Drill through the tile, the floor, and the formwork to the outside.
- The hole should be 14 cm from the back of the tile.
Installing and Connecting the Electric Heater:
- Install the Heater:
- Install the heater according to the heater instructions.
- Pull the Cable:
- Pull the cable through the hole to the outside.
- Fill the Heater:
- Only fill the heater with stones after a successful test.
Attaching the Switch Box:
- Screw the Box:
- Screw the switch box onto the rear skid of the sauna (left or right).
- Pull the Cable:
- Pull the heater cable to the switch box.
- Connect the Electricity:
- Always have a certified electrician connect the sauna's electricity.
