Chlorine shock is an effective way to thoroughly clean your hot tub. You give the water a chlorine shock in the following cases:

  • When there is a bacterium in the water
  • If there are algae visible
  • In case of dirty or cloudy water
  • When the water values are no longer up to standard its

Check the pH value

Before you begin, it's important that the pH value is between 7.2 and 7.6 is.
If this is not the case, the chlorine does not work properly. You can correct the value with pH min whether pH-plus.

Chlorine shock with chlorine

Use Chlorine granulate 55 to treat the water.

  • Add two days in a row, in the morning and in the evening, one tablespoon granules to the hot tub water.

After the chlorine shock

  • Flush the heater.
  • Refill the hot tub with water.
  • Perform a backwash on the filter.

Then it's completely ready for use again.

Important: never leave water with a high chlorine concentration in the hot tub. This will damage the tub and built-in components.
