Replacing the UV lamp in the filter system

The UV lamp in your filter system plays a crucial role in combating bacteria and algae in the water. Over time, the effectiveness of the lamp decreases, even when it is still lit.

To maintain optimal performance, the UV lamp should be replaced every 1 to 1.5 years. After this period, the lamp loses its disinfecting power, which means that the water is less well purified.

Replacing the UV lamp on time ensures that the filter system continues to function optimally and that the water remains clean and clear. The UV lamp can be ordered on our website.

Step by step:

1. Unplug the UV holder

  • The UV lamp is located in a blue tube that is attached to the filter pump.
  • Rotate the two blue swivels to the right to disconnect the UV holder.

2. Take out the lamp and quartz glass

  • Rotate the black swivel release to access the lamp.
  • Gently pull the UV filter out of the holder.
⚠️ Be careful — the quartz glass is fragile.

3. Check the parts

  • Sit in the holder two parts:
    • The UV lamp itself.
    • The quartz tube (glass shell).
  • Make sure they are properly connected to each other.
If they're not sitting properly, does the lamp not work.

4. Install the new UV lamp

  • Place the new UV lamp and (if necessary) the quartz tube in the holder.
  • Rotate the black swivel firmly fixed again.

5. Connect the UV holder back to the filter pump

  • Attach the holder back to the filter pump with the UV lamp at the bottom.
