How do you install the comfort furnishings in the self-build sauna with a closed back wall or half a panorama?

These steps describe the installation of the interior with the comfort equipment for a sauna with a closed back wall or half a panoramic wall.

  1. Outdoor bench placement:
    • Place the outdoor bench against the wall and screw it in with six 4x50 screws.
    • Screw each leg to the formwork with two 4x50 screws at an angle to the leg.
  2. Attach Shelves to Outdoor Bench:
    • Screw the planks onto the legs with two 4x50 screws per board.
    • Use a 7 mm shims to keep the distance between each board the same.
    • The distance between the bottom board and the formwork is approximately 5 mm.
  3. Indoor Bench Installation (Closed Back Wall or Half Panoramic Wall):
    • Place the bench against the wall and screw it in place with six 4x50 screws, both left and right.
    • Screw each leg to the formwork with two 4x50 screws at an angle to the leg.
  4. Attach Shelves to Indoor Bench:
    • Screw the planks onto the bench with five 4x50 screws per board.
    • Use a 7 mm shims to keep the distance between each board the same.
    • The distance between the bottom board and the formwork is approximately 5 mm.
  5. Confirm Backrest:
    • Screw on the backrest. The distance between the bottom of the backrest and the top of the bench is 20 cm.
    • Use four 4x60 screws for the backrest.
  6. Repeat Steps 1 to 5 for the Other Side of the Sauna:
    • Follow the same steps to install the outdoor bench, indoor bench, and backrest on the other side of the sauna.
  7. Installing Floors:
    • Install the floors. The 90 cm long floor is against the back wall.
    • There is no need to screw in the floors.
