The warm-up time depends on the model and method chosen: wood stove, electric or biodiesel.
The time it takes for your hot tub to heat up depends on several factors:
— The capacity of the Ducktub (800 to 2300 litres)
— Outdoor temperature and wind
— Possible insulation
— Type of heating (wood, electric or biodiesel)
— Type of wood that you use to burn
When using a wood stove, your hot tub is warm in an average of 2 to 3.5 hours. Smaller models such as the Ovalti are faster (±1.5 hours), while the largest, the Furo, takes up to 3.5 hours. Heating with biodiesel is about as fast as wood.
Electric heating is slower: on average, the temperature rises by 1 to 2 degrees per hour. That's why it's best to leave the element on continuously. So you can get in at any time.
Please note that these are estimates. The exact warm-up time depends on the situation. Does the heater not work? Then the Balboa system may be on 'IR' (In Rest).
