The materials we use for the Ducktub hot tubs last for years.
The tub is the heart of the hot tub and must be comfortable, strong and durable. That's why our tubs are made of multiple layers of glass fiber reinforced plastic. This material is known for its high strength, low weight and excellent insulating properties.
The finish is done with a high-quality MPG gel coating (Marine Performance Gelcoat) in the color RAL 7035 (light grey). This coating offers excellent protection against discoloration, wear and osmosis. Thanks to the smooth finish, dirt adheres less quickly and cleaning is done in no time. Unlike acrylic, PE or PP tubs, our finish is much smoother and more comfortable. Thanks to its insulating properties, the water also stays warm longer.
By default, all Ducktubs are surrounded with thermowood, a natural and durable material that is specially treated with heat and steam - without chemicals. This changes the cellular structures in the wood, making it less susceptible to moisture, fungi and wood rot.
The result? A resin-free wood finish with durability class 2 (similar to tropical hardwoods) and a lifespan of 15 to 25 years. The deep, warm color gives your hot tub a stylish and natural look.
Our wood-fired stoves are made of high-quality stainless steel:
