I have corrosion in my hot tub, what can I do?

Corrosion is often caused by incorrect water values. Check the water, clean the deposit and prevent further damage.

If you see corrosion on parts such as LED lights, bubbles, jets or penetrations, it is important to immediately check the water quality with test strips.

Corrosion is often a superficial deposit that you can still brush off. Do this as soon as possible, because if you wait too long, the corrosion can spread further. Then clean the hot tub completely, refresh the water and ensure that the values — such as pH and alkalinity — are perfectly balanced again.

Do you use groundwater? Then add some water descaler to prevent new deposits.

Be careful with sharp objects:

Damage, such as scratches on the LED lights or in the tub, accelerate corrosion. Therefore, be careful with gravel, glass or other sharp objects in the hot tub. This way, you can keep your hot tub nice and free from rust.
