Do you think it takes too long to fire? Use the Swiss method: stack efficiently, light from above and enjoy hot water faster.

We recommend using the Swiss method, also known as reverse firing. In the Swiss method, you make a pyramid out of logs, with large blocks at the bottom and smaller blocks towards the top. The fire is then lit at the top. This ensures almost complete combustion. In this video, Maayke explains how the Swiss method works:

When the fire starts to burn properly, you can refill the hot tub stove. You do this by placing larger blocks of wood on the fire in the hot tub stove. As soon as your hot tub gets close to 35 degrees, we recommend that you stop heating and let the fire burn out.
