My filter is not working properly, what can I do?

Is your filter not working properly? Discover how to make sure your hot tub stays clean and fresh again with backwash, rinse, venting and replacing filter glass

When the water becomes cloudy, this can have two causes:

  • The pump is not working properly.
  • The water has been in the hot tub for too long and the pump is full of dirt.

Backwash & Rinse

  • Check the pump pressure gauge.
  • Enter a backwash off (every 3—6 weeks on average). As a result, the pump flushes itself.
  • Afterwards, always use the rinse-function: this rinses the head clean of residual dirt.
  • Stop rinsing as soon as the glass in the cup only shows clear water.

Pump control
Hold your hand in front of the transit to see if there is still pressure on it.

Vent the filter

  • Unscrew the coarse filter lid 1 to 2 turns until a small amount of water escapes.
  • Then tighten tightly again (do not loosen too far, otherwise the hot tub will empty).
  • If something has sucked into the filter, you often see this when venting.

Replace filter glass
For best results, we recommend replacing the filter glass every 2—3 years. You can easily order this from us.
