To ensure optimal performance of the filter system, it is important to regularly maintain the cartridge filter.
Cartridge filter replacement
We recommend cleaning the filter every two weeks. This prevents clogging and keeps the filter working efficiently. You can easily rinse the filter with a garden hose to remove accumulated debris.Step by step:
1. Turn off the circulation pump
Press the on/off button on the circulation pump to turn it off.
2. Close the filter system.
Tighten the lever on the pipes to disconnect the filter system from the hot tub.
3. Vent the system
Turn the black vent knob on top of the filter to release excess air.
4. Open the filter housing
Loosen the swivel on the cartridge filter cover.
Carefully remove the cover.
5. Remove the filter.
Using two hands, remove the cartridge filter from the tank.
Rinse the filter thoroughly with a garden hose.
Make sure no dirt or residue is left behind.
📅 Tip: Replace the filter every 3 months for optimal operation.
6. Replace the filter
Put the cleaned or new filter back in the tank.
Make sure it is firm and straight.
7. Replace the lid
Place the lid back on the filter tank and tighten the swivel securely.
8. Open the levers again
Open the levers again so that the filter system is again connected to the hot tub.
9. Vent again
As soon as water comes out of the vent cap, close it again.
Now there is no more air in the system.
10. Switch on the circulation pump
Turn the circulation pump on again using the on/off button.
Done!
Your filter system is now clean and ready to use again. Don't forget to reinstall the filter kit lid properly. Time to enjoy clear, warm water in your hot tub again!
Over time, the filter material will wear out and perform less well. Therefore, it is recommended that you replace the cartridge filter about every three months. This helps maintain good water quality and prevents unnecessary strain on your pumping system.
By following this maintenance advice, you will extend the life of the filter and ensure clean, clear water.
Replacement of the UV lamp in the filter system.
The UV lamp in your filter system plays a crucial role in fighting bacteria and algae in the water. Over time, the effectiveness of the lamp decreases even when it is still on.
To maintain optimal performance, the UV lamp should be replaced every 1 to 1.5 years. After this period, the lamp loses its disinfecting power, reducing water purification.
Replacing the UV lamp on time ensures that the filter system continues to function optimally and the water remains clean and clear. The UV lamp can be ordered on our website.
Step by step:
1. Disconnect the UV holder
The UV lamp is inside a blue tube attached to the filter pump.
Turn the two blue swivels to the right to disconnect the UV holder.
2. Remove the lamp and quartz glass
Unscrew the black swivel to gain access to the lamp.
Carefully pull the UV filter out of the holder.
⚠️ Be careful - the quartz glass is fragile.
3. Check the parts.
Inside the holder are two parts:
The UV lamp itself.
The quartz tube (glass casing).
Make sure these are connected properly.
If they are not properly seated, the lamp will not work.
4. Install the new UV lamp
Insert the new UV lamp and (if necessary) the quartz tube into the holder.
Tighten the black swivel securely again.
5. Reconnect the UV holder to the filter pump
Attach the holder back to the filter pump with the UV lamp on the bottom.
Tighten all swivels securely to prevent leakage.
